Reliable POE filter - essential for any MoCA home install

If you are doing a MoCA home install, you will need one of these at the cable company entrance to your home so your MoCA network traffic is not visible to your neighbors (and didn't add any noise to the surroundings).

Pros
  • A Dream Come True
Cons
  • Repair

Works great with A/V accessories

I recently installed a MOCA box in our office to provide a wired connection to my PC using the existing coax in that room. This had to be installed before the splitter in the main box in our main bathroom to prevent crosstalk from our neighbors. Easy to install and still seems to be working as intended.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Just Works in A/V Accessories

There was an issue with MOCA functionality leaking to neighbors. I called the ISP and they said this was not possible. I had more than 20 unknown devices connected. The ISP exchanged my modem twice and still insisted that it was not possible. After many hours of frustration and a little homework. I made this purchase. The next day I connected to the coax cable that went to the modem. The problem was fixed immediately.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Update Available

Fixed signal noise issue

I was experiencing a lot of packet loss and noticed that the signal levels on my modem were not meeting the requirements. I contacted my ISP and after a few hours of back and forth decided to just try and fix it myself. After doing some research I saw that many people mentioned that using a Poe-Moca filter would help at the signal levels I was seeing. I live in an apartment building and I hear noise from my neighbors. This worked for me. ISP tech support who? Thank you ❤️

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Must have for DVR and cable modem!

A must have for every DVR and modem splitter! I am delighted to hear from a cable TV professional that these filters significantly improve signal quality and help prevent data leakage. When I moved to another state and used a new provider, when I picked up my dashcam I asked if they offered MoCA filters and he had no idea what it was. Much better signal quality after implementation should be enabled by all vendors and a requirement for anyone who has a DVR in their ecosystem.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Expensive

Only one is needed for TV

I bought this device to use with a MoCA adapter. You simply install it where the cable enters the house and before the signal splits. You may already have one installed from your cable provider and it should be easy to spot. You can even install it for free if you don't have it. But you need a filter to prevent others around you from picking up your MoCA signal. UPDATE: This is the wrong adapter for Internet use. It is for TV only and will block broadband cable signal. Comcast had to replace…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Will be added later
