I usually buy size XL, but after trying them on while on vacation I realized that XXL is the right choice as they always run small. So make it easy for all sizes, buy one. I recently bought two more and came back today to buy another one. love this product

5ft 9in 185 lbs size small. I actually think you'll be fine as long as you stick with what you normally get. The sleeve length of XL fits me but I'm afraid that changing to medium or L will make them too short for the price not worth sending back so I'll order a smaller size and see what happens.
