Don't touch them with bare fingers!

Ideal for GY8.6 slot on GE Microwave. Remember that a halogen lamp will fail prematurely if you touch it and leave fingerprints on it. Use a microfiber cloth to handle them during installation. I feel like a lot of those who talk about short life treat it like a regular lightbulb. I will update the rating when they die in a week but so far they are perfect.

How expensive

Bought these pears about 5 months ago. I used to buy them at Lowes for about $6 each. I was skeptical as they were a lot cheaper. Don't worry, the two bulbs I put in worked just as well as the more expensive ones and still haven't burned out. The ones I received were individually boxed and then bubble wrapped, placed in a large envelope and mailed. USPS. No damage. I can't find anything wrong with these lamps and would recommend them to friends and family. and you too.

I kept a log of each bulb to see how long they last, which has been 6 months or less for most, and they are only on when working in the kitchen. Aside from often burning out, they get very hot and heat up the upstairs closet. I know they're cheap, but I don't think I'll save any money in the long run. I see there is a…
