4 Inch Horseshoe Alnico Magnet. Painted With Keeper. This alnico magnet is carefully painted with the North and South poles marked. Included is a steel keeper bar (not pictured) to protect the poles from damage or loss of magnetism. Alnico is an acronym referring to a family of iron alloys which in addition to iron are composed primarily of aluminium (Al), nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co), hence al-ni-co.

Strong and Reliable

The AOMAG silver horseshoe magnets are amazing! According to my experience, they are extremely strong and reliable, capable of holding even the heaviest objects with ease. The small size and sleek design make them perfect for a variety of uses in the industrial and manufacturing industries. However, on the downside, they can be quite pricey compared to other magnet options on the market. Overall, these magnets are a great investment for anyone in need of a strong, reliable magnet solution.

Not the best lifespan for industrial magnets

Fairly fragile - fell apart almost immediately. However, we bought it for my 7 year old...so maybe it would last longer with an adult using it carefully. Although it's generally not a very strong magnet. We could use the pieces to pull the infills out of the mud, but the magnetic quality wasn't that impressive.

Maybe not very strong for a child

My out of state 4 year old grandson wanted a horseshoe magnet. I ordered it for him and he liked it, ran all over the house checking what it would stick to. Unfortunately he dropped it on the tiled floor the next day and it splintered and he was very sad 😢 That's why I gave it four stars instead of five.
