🧰 AP Products 018-546 Clip Seal featuring a 2-inch Wiper Review

This is the same seal as my 15 Keystone Cougar. It was more than it took me to replace the slide in the living room, but now I have a spare. Simply cut with metal scissors.

I was concerned about this but after opening the sliding lid it only took an hour to remove and reattach the seal. Replaced the EverBond tape along the roof and wall seal too, very good materials! Two dealerships on wheels had my little camper in their lot together for over 3 months to fix it and replace the light seal on the roof and sides. From them I got half a repair and relief from my wallet. Can't believe how easy it was!

This seal clip was designed to slide my 2010 Cougar trailer. This is a trailer mounted seal designed to slide. It fit perfectly. After I removed the 2 screws for each of the pieces (one on top, 2 sides) it came loose very easily and stood up very easily. The old fillings were sticky so be careful not to make a big mess (like I did). I highly recommend this product. I had about 10 feet left of the 35 feet provided after installation.

The summer sun has completely destroyed the top seals on my fifth wheel. This is a job I've never done before, but after a little research I bought this product hoping it was the right size and type. It was very easy to install and seems flexible. Hope it survives the sun! The first part of the review was written 10 days before I came back to see the print. You will see that the seal has warped and is no longer a seal. The first seal lasted 10 years, this seal didn't last 10 days!

As limited specifications were provided for this item I ordered this in the hope that it would be comparable to the OEM seal on my 2016 Keystone Montana. The width was the same, but the seal valve thickness was much thinner (0.086" vs. 0.121" for the OEM seal). The clip also didn't have as much wire reinforcement and it didn't seem to stay in place as well as the OEM clip. Concerned about durability, I returned it and spent $$ on an OEM keystone replacement. You get what you pay for and then…
