The cable is very short. I had to buy a USB extension cable. Otherwise it's a good USB hub that works well with my wireless keyboard/mouse USB dongle and USB powered speakers. One power switch per port seems pointless to me, but if you need it for some reason, these switches work just fine.

After seeing many bad reviews about other similar products I decided to buy this one. That's a good splitter. The USB connection to the computer is solid, as are the hubs. An on/off switch for each hub is a great feature as it allows you to leave USB drives that you access frequently plugged in. The cable/USB connection is about 7 inches long like most others. I've never used a hub with switches, but I'm glad I have this one. I use it to connect external hard drives to my computer.
