Description of 💪 Powerful Protection: APC P4V Audio/Video 120V Surge Protector with Coax Protection - 4 Outlet, Black

Audio-video power protection from damaging power transients. Building Wiring Fault Indicator - This LED informs users of potentially dangerous wiring problems in the wall circuit. Protection Working Indicator - SurgeArrest will warn you if its circuitry has been damaged by heavy strike or power line surge and it is unable to provide 100% protection. If still under warranty, APC will then replace your damaged SurgeArrest free of charge. Fail Safe Mode - Most other surge suppressors continue to let power through even after their circuits have been damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to future surges. APC's SurgeArrest fail safe, which means that once the circuit of an APC SurgeArrest has been compromised the unit disconnects equipment from the power supply ensuring that no damaging surges reach your equipment. Transformer Block Spacing - Connect bulky transformer block plugs without covering up other outlets.

I'm shocked they aren't better!

As with the others, the notch is too deep to make good contact in the socket. It's a shame because he's attractive and looks well built. I can use the 2 I ordered but they are behind furniture that keeps them in place. I would not order again.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Minor issues

Otherwise a good device

I would have given it five stars if it weren't for the fact that the 5/16" plug is sunk into the body or body of the device, i.e. the body Das Unit wraps around the wall plate and sits flush against a wall. My wall plates are typical and the recess is so deep that the plugs do not go deep enough into the wall outlet to hold the unit securely in place. I have removed the wall plate , but that didn't solve the problem.

Pros
  • That's brilliant
Cons
  • So far so good

Trust APC products

Simple, innovative, eye-catching surge protector. Bought this to complement an old extension cord. Pleasant lights show you at a glance whether everything is ok with the food. Specifications are fine for me. comes with a coaxial cable and there are connectors for a coaxial cable (75 ohms) on the bottom. Note that when the lights go out you know things aren't so good and the device may have taken a hit, you should buy a replacement as some reviews I've read have already done so.

  • Great design

Is working. I think. - Power strips and surge protectors

How do you know if it works if you haven't experienced surges before? It looks like it's working fine. If I remember correctly, it doesn't reset. this only works once. then you have to buy a new one. There's a light that tells you you're protected, and once it's done its job (once) that light goes out, but it's still powering whatever's plugged in. I have this to protect my 65 inch panasonic and check it every time. A week or so to be sure. So far no problems. I've been buying APC for several…

Good quality but a mounting screw would have been nice.

I bought this to protect the cable/coax and it fits the socket perfectly. However, I only gave it 4 stars (out of 5 stars) because I also recently purchased an APC 6 Outlet 1080W surge arrester, the SurgeArrest Essential (P6W). Both products are excellent, but the P6W has a screw that allows the surge protector to be attached to the wall outlet very securely, unlike the APC P4V. I'm lucky that the P6W fits perfectly into this socket and I didn't need a screw; However, it didn't fit smoothly and

Design flaws/Not working

According to many reviewers, this product does not plug into an outlet. The pins on the back are too short to go through a standard socket cover. My first disappointment with an APC product. I have several of their products and have always had great results with their products and customer service. PROS: Clean appearance. The protector is attached to the wall without a plug cable. double sockets. This model has 4 sockets. The P4V equipment connects to the sides of the protector, allowing…
