I don't know how well it works as I didn't have spikes but I'm very happy with it. It's a bit bulky and heavy compared to the cheap ones I've used before, but it died way too quickly.

Always used with my laptop in addition to the standard surge protector. I haven't had any real energy spikes or problems figuring out how well it works, but I've seen other people swear by it, so I'll continue to use mine as a precaution.

This unit shipped promptly. For the price, it's great for protecting portable laptops. Great buy, very durable and reliable.

I need this because I go to places with questionable electricity like Ecuador and Cambodia. Seems to be working fine. My laptop hasn't caught fire since I've been using it.

I bought this surge protector because I bought a similar surge protector for my previous laptop and it worked fine. The Pro has a better warranty on attached hardware, which I think is worth paying a little more for. The only downside is that Dell has changed the shape and design of the PSU on their new laptops so this surge protector doesn't attach to the PSU as well as the old surge protector I have that plugs into my old laptop's PSU not the fault of APC.

Required for older Surface Pro models. Worked great. An added bonus was the longer power cord. You need to determine if your laptop has a 2-pin or 3-pin connector. This surge protector was for a two pin connection.

Having recently undergone extensive repairs on my daughter's laptop, I began looking for phone line and power protection. She was home for the summer and hooked up to the phone line in her bedroom, and the storm did the rest. This product MUST be for mobile laptop users. The power adapter easily connects to your laptop's power adapter and also protects your phone's modem (no problem after 3 heavy storms). The price makes it even more attractive. Laptop owners should get one!
