I don't know why but I've tried two of these and they last about three days. Lots of five star reviews. Maybe I'm unlucky. After installation, the light went out and a few days later it came on again. Run the code and it matches this solenoid. I'll buy one of the more expensive ones and see what happens.

Needs to be replaced on my 2008 Prius. Fixed spatter and rough idle. I would recommend also buying a filter (sold separately) so you only have to disassemble the top of the motor once. Only 2 x 10mm screws are needed to remove the air intake and then 1 x 10mm screw to remove this part. Be careful not to break the wiring, it's hard to unplug but you can move it around a bit.

Very easy to install on a 2005 Scion xB. The hardest part of using this product was removing the 14 year old who was on the block. A few tips for installing this product: Make sure the engine has not been running recently. Even after waiting 15 minutes for the car to cool down after a five minute drive, the old magnet was still very hot (obviously). Be sure to clean the area around the hole where the solenoid goes.
