Ideal for iPad. The magnetic connection is very strong. The iPad does NOT fall out of the folio - no matter who says so, it doesn't actually have the original case. the price of unnamed keyboards. In the end I chose Smart Keyboard and it was a good choice. I was concerned it would be poor typing, but was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was to type on. Key travel is decent, similar to my 2016 MacBook Pro. There's no tactile click and activation strength seems linear, but I'm totally fine with that as I prefer that feel anyway.
