I was hoping to use these bulbs to replace a blown bulb that is flush mounted to the underside of my Whirlpool microwave hood. While the bases of these lamps fit into the socket, the overall length of these lamps is too long to fit in the recessed lamp compartment. The width is correct (T8 = Tubular, eight eighths of an inch (or 1 inch) wide, but the overall length does not seem to be standardized between brands.

Both light bulbs in our fridge finally blew out and we learned what it's like when the lights don't come on. It was after 11pm so Walmart was my only hope, but unfortunately they didn't have the bulb I needed. I bought these to replace the light bulbs on the bottom of my Kenmore 721 High Power Microwave. I had tried some LED bulbs before, but the heat from constant boiling caused them to stop working within a few months. These bulbs fit perfectly in the space provided and are very bright. I had a hard time screwing one of these into the socket but it was a problem with the socket itself so can't really blame the bulb for that. UPDATE. The first lamp I replaced lasted about 5 months and used it as a night light every night for about 10-12 hours a day (due to the winter hours). So it's about 1650 hours. The product page says they will last over 2000 hours so that's less but maybe my microwave has a problem with the bulbs burning out faster.
