When my model 56 humidistat died after 14 years I was looking for a replacement. I could get an exact replacement for the model 56 "new old stock" and save time (they are no longer made). The 60 had some nice features though - a digital humidity display and the ability to run the fan at low speed to keep the humidifier running when heat wasn't needed. We have had a whole house humidifier connected to the central heating for a number of years and it has never worked properly. The stove warms the house and when it stopped no more moisture was added.
