Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Enhanced Aprilaire 60 Humidistat with Blower Activation by Denise Shippee

If you have a humidifier for your entire home, this is what you need.

We have had a whole house humidifier connected to the central heating for a number of years and it has never worked properly. The stove warms the house and when it stopped no more moisture was added. I could start the fan but I would have to remember to turn it off. Then I have to constantly adjust the humidity to avoid condensation on the windows at very low temperatures. This season I made my choice. I should have made them sooner! This solved all my problems. First you have to spend a few days calibrating it and then just forget about it. Mine works fine on 7. It's as simple as that. The outdoor sensor lowers the humidity setting when it gets very cold and the auto fan starts the oven fan when there's a humidity demand and the oven isn't working. Now the humidifier should work fine, if there is a moisture call but no heat call, you must use hot water. Wiring can also be tricky, especially if your wires aren't properly labeled. My oven has its own humidifier port, which makes things a bit easier. Bottom line, this isn't a direct replacement for traditional humidity control and you'll need to rewire. If you understand the basics of electricity, then this is homemade, the instruction is very good. Now remember that the fan runs regardless of the fan setting in the thermostat, so you need to turn it off when needed, ie when you leave for vacation.
