🐠 Aqua One Betta Trio Aquarium Kit Review

The Aqua One Betta Trio Aquarium shipping weight is 25 lbs, not 51.7 as stated in the description. This was my third attempt to order the Aqua One Trio and today I received a 45 inch wide glass tank in a torn box that broke into pieces.

I like the tank but the installation instructions could be much better. Also very keen to find replacement carbon and ceramic cartilage filters for the unit. Only two online stores that I can find sell filters, and both stores are out of stock on both items.

Mom always said if you have nothing to say don't say anything but I have to. This tank is awful if you want Alcatraz goodbye for your betta! But be careful, they hurt each other through the ventilation slots, the water turns into slime. Don't waste your money, light is not that in the picture

When I opened the box and took out the tank, I noticed that the lid was broken. I decided to keep. After about 3 days I noticed that my Bertha's tail was stuck in the splitter bushing. My Bertha's tail is damaged and one of mine is dead. He was with me for 2 years. What I also don't like is that the living area is too small.

Beautiful aquarium! But. The reason I only gave it three stars is because it is WAY too strong for bettas. The betta in the compartment where the water comes out is struggling to swim - ironic, right? There's Betta in the name of the aquarium. However, I did a little research and decided to buy a Fluval pre-filter sponge to help calm the water flow.

As I have seen and read in other reviews. The pump, along with the rightmost outlet nozzle, created too much flow, causing the leftmost water surface to almost completely stagnate. So I made 2 modifications. I upgraded the pump to 50 GPH and placed a filter sponge to ensure proper flow rate through all 3 sections without causing too much flow for the broilers. In addition, the aquarium was packed very well. and the build quality and functionality are top notch!

First I would like to address the negative reviews that it broke on delivery. This refers to seller ratings, not product ratings. Breaking a glass during shipping does not reflect the quality of the product, it reflects how well the seller packaged the item for shipping.
