Description of 💧 AP420 Aqua Pure Water Filter Cartridge

Reduces sediment1 and scale1. Average cartridge life: 6 months (incoming water quality may affect cartridge life). Proprietary polypropylene manufacturing process. Grooved surface increases total surface area for longer cartridge life compared than non-grooved filter cartridges. Rigid construction helps to eliminate sediment “unloading” due to variances in water pressure. Materials are FDA CFR-21 compliant*.

Overpriced Replacement Water Filters

There is no way this product should cost that much. I can't complain about the quality, but the cost should be around 1/3 the cost.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Updates Available

Suitable for reducing water stains

Purchased to reduce build up in well water. They seem to be doing the job well based on reducing water stains on dishes and cleaned surfaces.

Pros
  • Special
Cons
  • Empty

Expensive but worth it

I used this to remove iron, sediment and copper from water. I also have a water softener. This filter is the best I've ever had. Expensive but worth it.

Pros
  • Finally bought it
Cons
  • Can I add something

Not cheap, but *much* better than generic!

Thgis has greatly improved the water quality compared to the standard universal version of the filter we had at home. Did he clean up all the crap? nope But my hair is less slimy and the water smells less fishy - hence I would say 4/5 stars. But damn, it's not cheap.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Great water filter for the whole house

These filters work great and don't taste like water at all. They remove rust and dirt from our city water and last about six months. They can be cleaned and reused, but for the price, we'll just replace them with a new filter. We have tried many brands and types but none compare to this one.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Long wait

Two cartridges are enough for a year's supply

Who cares about a whole home filter? compared to just a sediment filter of the same micron size (on well water. Michigan sand beds. Well sits at 145 feet depth. Lives on Lake Michigan). It will also really help protect the filters in the reverse osmosis system used for domestic drinking water. I noticed that the Fe rust was gone immediately and I'm sure this will help reduce scale in the hot water tank. Shelf life has yet to be determined, but the plan is to change every six months. So two…

Pros
  • Ribbed surface increases overall surface area for longer cartridge life compared to non-ribbed filter cartridges
Cons
  • Insecure

Does an excellent job.

Installed April 2015. When the original 3M filter looked dirty we tried the 'regular' filter with disastrous results - the housing would not close and water flowed out of the top of the filter housing. Installed a dirty filter again until we could order and deliver the original filter. According to 3M, the average lifespan of a filter is six months, and this could be the case if used for the whole house. Ours is only used to remove scale and sediment that would otherwise end up in an electric…

Pros
  • Reduces sediment1 and debris1
Cons
  • Doubtful
