Review on 💧 AP420 Aqua Pure Water Filter Cartridge by Chris Pettway

Installed April 2015. When the original 3M filter looked dirty we tried the 'regular' filter with disastrous results - the housing would not close and water flowed out of the top of the filter housing. Installed a dirty filter again until we could order and deliver the original filter. According to 3M, the average lifespan of a filter is six months, and this could be the case if used for the whole house. Ours is only used to remove scale and sediment that would otherwise end up in an electric water heater without a tankless water heater. These filters serve us from 12 to 18 months depending on the water quality of our city. YMMV. Our faucet strainers used to fill up with tiny white scale deposits, but that's almost non-existent today. The shower heads also stay clean for a long time. Not cheap but not a substitute for a kettle. Highly recommended.
