I have a house with a fountain for drinking water. Sometimes the water is dirty but odorless. This filter is ideal for removing debris and paint. Great for the price. I typically filter for 6 months before the volume decreases.

rubbish! These filters are not compatible with the Big Blue filter housing as their diameter is too small for a canister. The seller lied about the 4.5 diameter filter, this is far from the case. The small diameter of the filter makes alignment with the outlet nozzle very difficult at best. These filters must be Chinese secondary filters. Revain should never sponsor these types of products.

The price is reasonable, shipping was fast and it saved us 2 hours round trip to pick up filters where we usually buy them every year. They are listed as 4.5 inch OD. They are 4 and 1/8 inch outside diameter, although the packaging says 4.5 inches. It was also a problem when installed as filter tips and not well aligned. This resulted in it not sealing well and leaking very slowly. I will not order these again. I didn't notice the small size until I installed it, as at first glance it seems like the size is correct until I put it in the case. Good price but not worth the price as wrong size.

This filter was installed for the second time as a whole house pre-filter at a well water treatment plant fed with water high in iron and sediment. It worked very well. My only disappointment was that the two filters did not come with individually wrapped filters. Since I only use one filter at a time, this means I have to repackage the second filter. When I first ordered them, each was individually wrapped.
