Great product at a good price that works.

Valves are great. Any buyer will simply read the description and understand that they are threaded on one side for use on a manifold.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Best Deal Great Quality

Great quality at a good price, installed them in Schedule 40 PVC pipe, used a 6/16 bit to start the hole then used a 7/32 bit, twist to enlarge the top a few and then screw in for a good seal, a 13/64 drill bit would be better!

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Nothing

good value for money: air pump accessories

These are pretty decent air valves. I recently installed 40 of these when I moved the fish room. They don't appear to be as well made as the AV1Es available from Jehmco (e.g. the arms are poorly attached and one fell off during installation and I expect more over time).

Pros
  • perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • quality

Drill a 13/64 hole for fish and aquatic animals

To screw them into PVC, drill a 13/64 hole. Apply pressure and turn the threaded valve. Make sure the valve sits straight in the hole. After a full turn, the threads snap into place in the plastic and the entire valve can be screwed in. If you find a leaking valve, use a drop of silicone to seal it.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Many things

Works Great!: Aquarium Pumps and Filters

I built a 40 tank aquarium in my basement and these valves work great! I see the exact same valves for about $2 each on other sites where I would honestly rather buy them, but you can't beat that price. These little things are also very durable. I actually installed them by pre-drilling a smaller hole and then putting these valves in my drill chuck and hammering them. Everything works and nothing is broken! Will definitely buy again when it's time for an expansion!

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks
