I've hooked up three hydroponic systems to this so far and I really like it. I will buy a second one for the second shelf. I love how you can adjust the bubbles up and down. I bought an accessory that connects to two air vents and allows me to turn the two vents on or off as needed. As big as it is, it's quieter than the small pumps that come with my hydroponic systems.

God this thing is loud and don't you dare block any of the ports because it looks like it will explode if you do. I was going to disable one of the ports with a linear regulator, but no thanks. It sounded like someone turned on five pairs of hair clippers and put them in a steel drum and when I tried to see if I could block one of them until I needed them later it was a mistake. It just increased the noise by 100%.

Absolutely quiet even at the highest level, no rattling or wobbling. The adjustment knob is a little touchy, but it's not critical. Can be operated for smaller tanks or tanks. Works great, I'll probably get more soon. I personally think this is the most reliable air pump I have ever bought and the price made it even better, 5 stars. Good price so I gave it a try. The first one I got had a manufacturing defect in the on/off/control knob - it only worked at all if I twisted it hard and glued it in place, and even after that it went off after a while. I use it on 3 10 gallon tanks which should be more than enough but it is very noisy! Trying to adjust the airflow is tricky as it gets louder as the airflow increases and the lower you set it the less it works. I have 4 sponge filters total, one tank has 2 small 5 gallon sponges and the other two have 1 sponge each (up to 20 gallons each), 2 of the tanks get enough flow and the 3rd no unless it's on high volume set. then 2 others get too much air.
