Powerful filter. I keep an aquarium with a sandy bottom. My top fin filters wouldn't last a month or two. It is stronger, more reliable and offers enough space for the filter material.

I am pleased with this filter for my 20 gallon ultra highs. I'm not sure which replacement filters to buy. There was one and luckily my old replacement filters work, but what type goes with this one? It does its job well, wasn't overly expensive, but is a bit louder than my old filter. I like that I don't have to manually pour water in to get it working. You just turn it on and it starts pumping water.

This is for a 10-20 gallon tank but I have a 20 gallon tank and it is too long for my tank. I've got it sticking out and tilting it a bit so the water is dripping weirdly and the lid isn't quite closing yet, but I have to say...it works amazing even sitting in the tank like that! Crystal clear! My fish tank had a snail infestation and the waste was awful, I can't believe how clean this filter made the fish tank. Super impressed. The size just isn't right.

This small filter is very good value for money. Has worked for 3 months with no problems. The filtering works great. I also like that it can be disassembled for cleaning. There are a few downsides. First, it's a little difficult to get started. You must fill the suction tube with water before it moves. If you disassemble the filter you will also see the o-ring that starts to leak on the old filters. (Bought this to replace a 2 year old filter that was starting to leak.)
