Lasts from February 10th to March 29th

I have bought this heater before so I decided to use my knowledge. I haven't been thrilled with them in the past but this was one of the cheapest branded models I've found that allowed me to customize and set my own temperature and I really liked the feature. The problem is that if it dies and has to be replaced again and again, it becomes unavailable. The last one I bought on February 10th died on March 29th. Aquarium Heater Knock

I bought this heater last winter and won't use it until next winter. I live in South Florida and only need heating a few months a year. Too bad I didn't check it out right away and now it's too late to go back. I have always bought Aquatop heaters in the past and they are not perfect either. Killed half my fish

Have had this since September, worked fine initially, has a built in LED to show when it's heating up (red) or reaching temp (green). Lately I've started losing fish. At first I thought it was a disease and tried everything from I-X to Metroplex to Paraguard but more and more fish started dying.
