This is a pretty good attachment for my 20 gallon aquarium, it fits great, the first one I received is unfortunately broken, I sent it back, the second I did received had so much bubble wrap around it I could drop it off the building and it wouldn't shatter when and when you get it be careful of the edges which are very sharp. HORRIBLE PACKAGING. The box was very large and the box with the glass lid inside could slip. Luckily it was wrapped in bubble wrap to keep it from tearing. BACK STRIPES too narrow. A full fit requires about half an inch more width. It was so hard to cut that I broke my scissors on it and ended up having to use tin snips to cut the damn thing. Also, it doesn't sit properly in my tank and is slightly elevated leaving a small gap in the back for my small fish to jump through. LOOKS NICE. The glass

Although I have measured several times, this top fits in length but is actually too small in depth (width). However, I was able to use a plastic extension from my old top that made it fit. It seems that the plastic extension that comes with the kit should be wider. Also, there are no instructions - so I'm not sure which side the plastic extension is on - and it's difficult to cut due to the extra grooves. The glass is hinged and can only be fully opened in one direction. The upper really helped
