🔩 Enhanced Performance Differential Cover for DANA 30 by ARB Products Review

ARB is worth the money! The only reason for 4 stars is that the lid was damaged when received. I highly recommend the seal. Used on my 2005 Wrangler LJ D-44. The magnet on the drain is very strong. The color really makes your back pop. Update: It's been over a week and the seller hasn't responded to the damaged item. Disappointing!

To be honest bought to look cool under my jeep; The switch to synthetic differential oil was a bonus of the setup. I'll never be off-road enough to test their limits. Purchased a Dana 30 faceplate after installation. Very, very high quality and the red looks great. It is very easy to fill with a dipstick. Installed with a Lubelocker gasket to make installation a lot easier - the hardest part was removing the old sealant.

Bombardment. Always wanted them for my Jeep JK D44 and D30 axles. I finally did and am very glad I did. Used LubeLocker seals and followed ARB's instructions to the letter to etch the level indicator onto the dipstick, all went well and works very well. Makes filling and level checking very easy and they look very nice. very happy and glad I finally spent the money on it. The fit and finish is nice and very, very durable.

Excellent fit and finish of this product. The weight difference between these and standard lids gives you the peace of mind that they can take a lot more abuse than standard lids. Installation time was pretty quick except I had to file and smooth the bottom of the diff where I caught a rock and bent the OEM cover. I used a Lube Locker gasket with ARB caps, follow the torque specifications on the ARB or online owner's manual, not the Lube Locker instructions if going that route.

Don't believe the 1, 2 and 3 star ratings on this product! These people didn't check the functionality and only complained that they received the wrong case. And one guy who cried over the fitment (for his Ford truck) was totally unaware of the fact that the reason he had to trim the cover a bit was because FORD moved their suspension right next to the front differential ! This ARB diff cover was installed on my wife's 2013 Rubicon. I unscrewed all the screws except for a long top left edge. the cross member or stabilizer bar was in the way, i couldn't attach them, i tightened them all up, added lucas synthetic gear oil (about 2 1/2) l. and backed up the sidewalk to remove the last screw. I suppose you can use a lift or jack to get it out of the way, but I've found that the EZ-er only elevates the rear wheel onto the pavement to create just enough flex, so…

What you get: Ductile iron construction, recessed bolts, removable dipstick and drain plug. There are many options for aftermarket cases, but for me the release of this case was a benefit. It's hard to take serious damage, but not so bad that you have to mod the entire frontend to make it work. In comparison, this is one of the thinnest lids on the market and works well if you don't want to spend a lot of money modifying everything else around the lid.
