Useless Painting Pad for Arts and Crafts

This painting pad is a complete waste of money. The paper is thin and flimsy, making it difficult to work with. Despite the claims of being suitable for oil painting, the paper does not hold up well and the colors bleed through. The only positive aspect is the convenient size, but that is not enough to make up for the poor quality of the paper.

Pros
  • Convenient size
Cons
  • Thin and flimsy paper that bleeds through with oil paint.

Im impressed

I used to apply plaster to wood and it was too absorbent which meant it was very difficult to apply oil paint and the paint dried dull and even. So I was pleasantly surprised to learn that while this paper takes oil paint very well, that doesn't mean that the paint is difficult to spread on the surface and doesn't dull or even the color. So far it has been a pleasure to draw on this paper.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Excellent quality, no preparation required

This paper is great! It resists oils. The paper does an excellent job of preventing saturation/bleeding. I can't say anything negative about that. It's a great and inexpensive way to develop talent, and if you happen to draw a masterpiece in the process, it'll be archived. Arches oil coloring pads are a bit more expensive than other brands on the market, but they are worth it. Buy, try, create!

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared
