It gets the job done and certainly smaller to store but the hex bars can be rough on hands during use and it's almost impossible to Loosen the clamping nuts because the cross member does not engage and does not slide in the middle. It's not quite balanced for ease of use, preferring to fold for storage. I wish I had spent less money on a standard X-Key. Looks solid enough but can't say for sure at the moment.

I used it for the first time to fix my friend's car. It works great, it's tough, it's precise. Compared to other folding 4-way wrenches, there is no comparison. When you start removing the nuts you can fold and twist them very easily. If I had one complaint to make, I'd like it to be a little longer. It would be great if I could lock the slider. This is a quality tool and definitely worth the money. If you are looking for a foldable 4-way, this is way beyond that.

This is much better than I expected for the price. We drive an SUV that weighs 5,400 pounds so it fits in an emergency bag along with a small 2.5 ton jack. The sliding mechanism allows each of the bars to be moved to the end, giving you much more leverage to loosen the compression nuts. You can then roll it up to allow the bars to align and "lock" together for easy storage. I hope I never use it on the road, but I tested it when I switched my winter tires to summer tires and it worked…

I'm giving this wrench a flat 5 stars because it's awesome and looks well made, at least for typical family car use. While I don't use it, I'm "sure" it will do any of my cars loose, but I also definitely don't think it's the "first choice" to run it on an HD truck or a double or whatever ridiculous handle to use. I'm guessing it won't even withstand 200 ft-lbs. So this is a superficial review, but 5 stars for what it's worth ($40 flip key, nice).

The price is good. The processing is excellent. However, the lugs are too small for both my American-made truck and German-made sedan. I don't know which grommets fit, but for me it was a waste of money. Don't try to come back because a long time has passed. I got them and put them in my truck's emergency kit because my jack was "borrowed". Good thing I finally got it out one day to tighten the screws at home in the driveway. The seller really should have specified what type of car it fits…
