I used to have two of these clocks and will probably buy another one soon. They are incredibly durable, I even put one in the laundry beforehand to clean it and it worked great after that. The pros are that they're durable, easy to read, have all the basic features you'd expect from a sports watch, and they look decent. I had this watch when it was made by Timex. Now they don't and I was in a frenzy until I found an almost exact model of Armitron. Did Timex sell it to Armitron or is there a connection between Armitron and Timex? I needed a watch that was easy to read and that showed the day and date. If a date contains a 1, e.g. 10 to 19, unfortunately the 1 is so thin and so close to the other number that you can't see it. I thought 13th was 8th and 10th was 0!? The overall size of the watch is huge and will not fit or hang on the sleeve of my clothes. I bought this to replace a five year old identical unit I bought locally at Walmart for the same $19 price. The battery eventually dies (after FIVE years!) They offer ONE or TWO YEARS of battery life. I didn't use the alarm system and rarely used the light. Good thing the battery lasts a long time. They last about a year, maybe less. The first thing going south is the crystal; we're not talking about sapphire here; This armitron's ability to withstand the slightest punishment is ridiculously nil.
