Excellent and Affordable

This paper is good quality and affordable. It's not Arches, but so is the price! It's great to use for practice without breaking the bank. The packaging is great. Cardboard is used on all four corners to protect the device during transportation.

Pros
  • Cold Press: Most popular print, ideal for wet-on-wet, dry-on-wet, landscaping and fine detail
Cons
  • I will add later

Can you see the line on the front of the pad cover in the photo? This is an indentation that is actually 2 side by side about an inch apart. A dent is almost directly above the silver stripe on the lid, making its appearance difficult to discern. It has an indentation of 5 sheets of paper. I tried warming up the dent with a warm iron and damp cloth to make it less noticeable. I'm upset as I was very happy to find a decent paper that doesn't cost me as much as the most popular watercolor paper…

Pros
  • 100% Cotton: Our premium watercolor paper is professional quality, highly absorbent and will not dissolve
Cons
  • Available in white only

Doesn't take washing well.

I really wanted to like this paper. Unfortunately, at least when painting with watercolors, this will not happen. The sizing appears to be on the surface of the paper so the ink floats on the sizing rather than making contact with the paper even though it is 100% rag paper. This means the wash glides and glides instead of settling on the paper. Other wet-on-wet techniques will not work on this paper either, and when the image dries it will appear dull. Applying a second coat usually removes the
