First of all you should know that this does NOT smell like sandalwood. This is the smell of a compound found in sandalwood but in a synthetic version (javanol). So it has a bit of sandalwood in it, albeit not very convincingly. Right on the border between woody and clean and musty and unpleasant. For 1€ I expect a little more. Many of the words on the label were in Spanish and the label had a striped design and the label belonged as if it was from another country or brand. This product, like most preshave products, helps. I gave it a try as it was cheaper than what I call historic established British products but note this material says it was made in the UK by Proctor and Gamble.
