High Quality Thick Black Drawing Paper

I really like this black drawing pad. The weight of the paper is ideal for drawing with white charcoal, chalk or pen/ink. It was packaged very nicely, and I gave one of two packages to an artist friend of mine. The weight of the paper is not heavy, but not ultra-light, very durable. This is my first experience with black paper for sketching and I like the difference it makes drawing in negative space. They usually run lightning deals and you can get them pretty cheap.

Pros
  • Crafts & Sewing
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

1 month later it still stinks

Warning I have a very low tolerance for strong smells and they give me migraines. I bought a lot of ARTEZA and I love this brand. I have paints, other paper, brush markers, watercolor pencils and I couldn't wait to try this paper. It worked perfectly, how wonderful it is, but I got a headache right away. I left it to air out for a month but still can't use it. Disappointed because it looks like a great product. I had to give and buy another paper that doesn't stink.

Not bad, not bad at all

I am very satisfied with the paper. I did some intricate sketches with white and gold gel pens and the fibers stayed intact. Then I took some gouache paint and played around a bit. Watery paint won't pick up the paper, but does a great job with multiple layers of paint as long as the brush stays dry. It doesn't have a lot of teeth so layering didn't work that well on Conte colored pencils, but I think if I was just using it for quick sketches it would be fine. The only real issue I had was that

Pros
  • Art supplies, drawing
Cons
  • Long delivery time
