Description of πŸ”Œ ASC Audio Car Stereo Radio Wire Harness Plug & Antenna Adapter - Compatible with GM Chevrolet Pontiac Saturn Vehicles (Listed Below)

Wire harness and antenna adapter for installing an aftermarket radio. ---VERY IMPORTANT---- PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASE----: Wire harness only works with standard non-premium amp factory systems- Not compatible with amp systems like Bose, Infinity, etc.- Red ignition wire of the new radio has to be run separately from the vehicle radio harness (factory radio plug has no ignition power wire). Will not retain some features like warning chimes, steering audio controls, Onstar, etc- extra adapters required. This isn't considered a simple install if you don't know how to splice the ignition wire. You can look into the PAC C2R-GM11 if you want a simple plug and play device. Compatible with: Chevrolet: 2007–2010 Cobalt, 2006-2011 HHR, 2008-2012 Malibu; Pontiac: 2007-2010 G5, 2006-2009 Solstice; Saturn: 2007-2009 Aura, 2007-2009 Sky.

Price & Labor 2010 Malibu

Works as expected for my 2010 Chevy Malibu. I've never built a radio before and this made it pretty easy. I had to think a little. In any case, this is something for professionals, so I didn't expect an instruction manual. Thank you for having it.

Pros
  • --- VERY IMPORTANT ---- READ BEFORE PURCHASING ----: Wiring harness only works with factory standard non-premium amplifier systems - Not compatible with amplifier systems such as Bose, Infinity, etc. E. - The The red ignition wire of a new radio must be routed separately from the car radio wiring harness (the factory radio connector has no ignition current wire).
Cons
  • Having problems

Will not work on Saturns Sky or Pontiac Solstice

It appears the wires connect to the connector on the opposite side of the speaker wires on the factory wiring harness. Plugged in, knew I had to make my own connection to the remote control wire, it wasn't a concern, everything on the stereo turned on and worked, but there was no sound at all, connected the stereo wires to the stereo with a regular wire and it works, so the stereo isn't a problem, it's a tourniquet. Spend the extra money and don't buy that station wagon, buy from Crutchfield if

Pros
  • This is not considered a simple installation unless you know how to connect the ignition wire. You can check out the PAC C2R-GM11 if you need a simple plug and play device.
Cons
  • No instructions

Cheap quality junk is best in Radio Wiring Harnesses

This item pos. The main problem is that when plugged into the factory plugs, the pins of the cable bend rather than stick. Then I straightened the pins and instead of bending them they just pushed the wire out of the connector πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ very, very cheap quality

Pros
  • --- VERY IMPORTANT ---- PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING ----: The wiring harness will only work with factory standard non-premium amplifier systems - not compatible with amplifier systems such as: B. Bose , Infinity etc. - The red ignition wire on a new radio must be routed separately from the car radio wiring harness (the factory radio connector does not have an ignition wire).
Cons
  • Low maintainability
