Black Faux Leather Adjustable Swivel Bucket Seat Home Office Desk Chair by Signature Design Review

I love the look of this chair. It compliments the minimalist decor I have in my office. After a little over a month of moderate use, the height adjustment gas shock failed (received April 4th - issued May 10th). For the record, I'm 5 feet 10 inches and 180 pounds, pretty average. I hope customer service can help and I'll be happy to update my review as otherwise the chair is great.

I ordered this chair because of the good reviews here. It's an adequate chair, but not worth four or five stars. The seat has very little padding. The back is hard. It should really be called a work chair because the front of the seat is tilted forward. For some reason this is considered ergonomically correct, but it's actually uncomfortable for the lower back as it pulls the hips and sit bones forward and puts stress on the hips and hamstrings. Before buying this office chair I used a stabilizing ball for my desk. I liked to "exercise" next to work, but during the day it made my back very tired. We bought 4 for our new family office/homework room. Arrived quickly, well packaged, no damage. Assembly was easy for 2 out of 4. The other 2 had 1 screw (of 4) that wouldn't thread. I was eventually able to force them, but it took some serious effort. There's no way my wife could get it. I was about a minute away from giving up and sending the 4th back.
