Ultimate Performance Unleashed: ASICS Gel Excite Trail Running Metropolis Men's Athletic Shoes Review

One of my favorite running shoes of all time was the Asics Trail Attacks. Was angry when they stopped producing. They are very tight in fit and feel. The only difference was that the Attacks had a slightly more aggressive directional tread pattern. I may order 3-4 more pairs as Asics tends to discontinue any shoes I like.

1 month after receiving these shoes and about 3 weeks of wearing them there is a silver dollar sized piece in the center of the sole/tread that is 3/4 ripped off. Not very good quality.

I've been using Asics shoes for a number of years and this pair has been the best so far. After trying the Excite Trail Gel, I immediately ordered another pair, but in a different color. Great cushioning, perfect for my job as a guide.

I've been using these shoes for trail running and hiking in the Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge for about a year. Excellent traction, comfortable and durable. A year later they still look like new. I just bought a second pair... and will probably buy more. It took about 30 days to arrive via Ebay/Zappos but it was worth the wait. Just plan accordingly.

Everything is great, the price corresponds to the quality. I can tell you that this is one of the best running shoes I have ever had in my life. I would highly recommend them to amateur runners.

I love ASICS, they are the only tennis shoes I buy, but they are much narrower in the front, they compress the toes more than any other shoe I have ever bought. For some reason I accidentally bought a half size up and I'm glad I did. Even if they are half a size larger, they fit well in the forefoot. If I bought my normal size, they definitely wouldn't fit. My husband liked it. He needs heel support and he has it. He has used ASICS before and has always been happy with it. We go camping and he likes to use them.

First I liked the shoes as they were and are very comfortable. But less than a year later, the fabric on the outside of the sock began to tear. I haven't even met them that often! Not to mention the many trails. I wore them mostly as weekend/casual shoes. Very disappointed with the durability and quick compression of the sole. :(

Beautiful colors, light. A little tight at the top of the foot where the tongue is. Wish. If they had more space there, they would be great.

My problem is the sole of the shoe. I put them on for a quick morning walk with the dog and my legs started to hurt. The foam pillow is terrible. You can go barefoot with the same success; At least the legs don't hurt after a short walk.
