🏃 ASICS Gel-Kahana 8 Running Shoe: Ultimate Performance for Men Review

These are poor quality shoes. I expected ASICS to be strong and durable shoes but I've worn them maybe a dozen times and they still look brand new but the sole is already falling apart. See photos. My usage was to walk around the area so usage can't be the reason. It seems like a godsend from seeing reviews like this, but it's usually too late to go back when that happens. Very frustrating.

The shoes are relatively comfortable, but every time I walk on a liquid (rain or whatever) and then step on a hard surface, it feels like I'm walking on ice. I almost fell many times. I've also tried wearing them on the treadmill and it's the same problem. I haven't seen any reviews with this issue. Maybe my soles are made of a different compound. I will throw them away rather than give them in good faith as I don't want to be held responsible for anyone getting hurt.

They have a very tight toe box which makes them very uncomfortable for me to wear for long periods of time. I've had them for over a year now and they still look almost brand new as I often take another pair of shoes with me for camping, hiking or trail riding. I've had about 10 pairs of Kahanas over the years. I kept coming back because it took me a while to find the right shoes for my feet and I didn't want to switch when I did. This purchase was my third pair of Kahana 8s. The previous two pairs were great. However, this pair appears to have a different sole material. Material that is criminally slippery when wet. Updated 5th July. I received a second pair of these sneakers in a different color. Comfortable shoes and serve the purpose for the price. I still assume they won't last too long as I detailed in my previous post on my first pair (below). I've also included a photo of the only problem I had with the first pair.
