hard shoes: my rating

I've been wearing Asics for a few years now, love the support for my overpronation which has been giving me back problems. Shoes are comfortable but hard. I never had this problem with Asics before they started causing arch stiffness when I wear them for a long time. I will continue to buy Asics as they were recommended by my doctor and they were the first pair I had problems with.

Pros
  • Highly acclaimed by previous buyers for comfort, fit and durability.
Cons
  • There may be better options on the market with similar features

The quality was much worse than expected even after a little use

I only used them for the office. They have never been driven in or removed from the pavement. After only 6 months of use, the fabric over the toes on both shoes already has holes. The rest of the shoes look like new. This is very disappointing and not what I expect from Acics. My other couples have previously served for years. This is the first pair I've bought through Amazon so they may be selling a lower quality pair than other sellers.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Some shoes may appear too narrow or too wide.

Decent shoes for the price

This is a great value shoe with decent arch support. Not the best of the bunch but they hold up well after a few miles. Very light, ideal for endurance runs or even light hikes.

Pros
  • I love the cushioning in this shoe.
Cons
  • They were two different sizes and then they increased the price! Bad

Torn out toe box

I was VERY disappointed with the GT-2000 6. I've never pulled an Asics toe (and I've been using Asics for over 25 years). Stay away from the GT-2000 6. Asics have fixed the toe box issue on the GT-2000 7, a model I'm very happy with.

Pros
  • Marathon
Cons
  • The shoe may not be ideal for those who need a more structured shoe.

PNW sneakers in my review.

I've been buying and returning shoes for about a month now and am looking for a decent pair that will suit my needs. I need something waterproof as I live in the Pacific Northwest and puddles are a fact of life. I need shoes with a higher heel support than usual and a wide toe box. This pair met all my requirements and they look pretty good. I've ridden them twice (about 10 miles total) on road, sidewalk, grass and trail and they don't hurt my heel or irritate the sides of my foot, which is a…

Pros
  • Constructed from high quality materials for strength and durability
Cons
  • Shoes may not provide adequate support for people with foot injuries or conditions.

Very comfortable and beautiful!

These shoes are extremely comfortable and reliable for all day standing or walking, for example in the city or for sightseeing in the city. These shoes have excellent shock absorption to reduce fatigue, keeping you feeling great at the end of the day.

Pros
  • Equipped with rearfoot and forefoot gel cushioning for enhanced cushioning.
Cons
  • Shoes can have a lower drop than some prefer

I love the Asics 2000 in my review.

I'm a big fan of Asics from the 2000s. I've been going to them for 5 years now. I ride 3 to 12 miles depending on how far I want to ride in a day. I also wear them a good 7 1/2 hours a day. I can always tell when I need an update because my feet are starting to hurt. So I just get a new pair and the pain goes away. I think if you stick with certain shoes you don't need to break them in. You just feel like you're in new shoes and go.

Pros
  • Great offer
Cons
  • Shoes can be too tight in the toe area.

Shoes only lasted 2 months.

Great Asics fit with good support front and back. The shoes wore out immediately after the 30 day return cycle. The toe of both shoes is split on both sides; That has never happened to me. The mesh feels like a weaker, less reliable version of what I'm used to from Asics. (I also run in Nimbus, lasts up to 5-6 months.) I'm switching but staying with Asics!

Pros
  • good shoes
Cons
  • Shoes may not be appropriate for those with high arches or overpronation.

Shit quality. The net broke after a few uses.

Shit quality. ASICS quality has really deteriorated. After about 10 uses. The toes are torn. Do not buy! Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Perfect casual shoes
Cons
  • There is a chance that the shoes will not fit your foot shape.

Stick to what works!

After wearing the ACICS GT-2000 for about 20 years I got bored and decided to try other brands of shoes. What mistake! Now I'm back to what works. These shoes look great straight out of the box and require little to no breaking in. My only complaint is that the outsole seems to wear out a little quicker than I expected, but that's a minor issue. Overall a great supportive shoe.

Pros
  • Contains guideline technology to improve gait efficiency.
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for those who need more stability.

Good in the mud, not as benevolent as Gel Kayano.

I took these shoes as an alternative to the Gel Kayano running shoes, especially for rainy days or when running in the mud. If you're an overpronator they're fine for short runs, but I'd say they don't provide enough support for longer runs. My calves started to tire earlier than in normal shoes. I still love them for the mud boot camp workout.

Pros
  • Provides superior traction for running on a variety of surfaces.
Cons
  • The tongue of the shoe may not stay in place when running.

I keep ordering them because they are excellent

The ASICS GT-2000 is a great shoe for overpronators who like to run medium distances and don't want to pay extra for an elite shoe. Sturdy, well made, comfortable, fits as promised. Just a great trainer for the average runner. I order a new pair about every six to 12 months and run about 20 miles a week in them. I'm 215 pounds and 6ft 1in tall so they do fine with this moderately fast Clydesdale.

Pros
  • The price of money.
Cons
  • Color may fade or smear easily

Comfortable and stylish, I get compliments all the time!

This is the second pair of this model that I have bought. I bought another pair fearing they were going out of production, that happens all the time in the world of tennis shoes. Get a pair!

Pros
  • Comes in a stylish black and white color scheme with carbon accents.
Cons
  • The finger box may be too small

Asics shoes still hurt flat feet

The shoe's support damaged my flat feet more than previous models. I had to return, the seller and the delivery were 5 stars, only the Asics product was not like the previous versions.

Pros
  • I've been buying the same shoes for years but it seems the size or maybe my foot has changed
Cons
  • Shoes are not durable as they are easily damaged

Great looks while maintaining comfort

This is a comfortable shoe that has a distinctive look and color not typical of other sneakers. Use it more like everyday walking. I use other hiking shoes like Nimbus and Cumulus. love this style

Pros
  • Available in multiple sizes to accommodate a variety of feet and preferences
Cons
  • Shoes may not be suitable for people with hip, knee or back problems.

Great shoe for arch support

The GT2000 is a great arch support running shoe. The seller recommended this particular shoe to help heal a severe attack of plantar fasciitis I was struggling with. That was four years ago and to this day I don't run in any other shoe (Kaynos is the softer version, which I also use).

Pros
  • A mi esposo le encantaron y sus molestias desaparecieron desde que comenzó a correr con ellos
Cons
  • Shoes can smell bad after a few uses.

Poor quality/lack of support

Bought these shoes and upon receipt they had very little support while walking. It was like walking on concrete. For a supposed running shoe they are of very poor quality for the price. Don't waste money

Pros
  • Amazing fit and light weight, it wears out very quickly but all Asics shoes wear out.
Cons
  • The shoes are not suitable for wider feet.

Lack of design/material - stay away

Do not buy. The toe of the box broke off on the first pair - I thought it was defective so I sent it back and reordered. The second pair also broke - and I only wear them. I send them back when I type. Missing design/material.

Pros
  • These shoes support my feet very well.
Cons
  • Shoes can feel stiff and not flexible

Poorly made shoes are the best in my rating

Very dissatisfied with this shoe. The upper of the shoe is very poorly made and started falling apart after a few weeks of wearing.

Pros
  • I love these shoes.
Cons
  • My feet hurt since I brought shoes, even after I stopped wearing shoes. I've been buying Asics for many years.

Good for fat guys, good for me

I'm a big guy and I've had a few of these. Reordered them and the second pair was the blue pair here. you go well Drove all over France with no problems.

Pros
  • Looks great! Feels incredible!
Cons
  • Shoes make an annoying noise when walking
