ONLY 6 MONTHS: Athletic

Normally my ASICS (which I've been buying for years) last 1 year. I don't wear them outside, only to work and after 6 months my toe went through the end of my left shoe. There should be more protection around the toe. For $ I'm disappointed.

Pros
  • Rubber outsole
Cons
  • Durability

Best shoes I've found for overpronation

Not only are these shoes great (colors are better in real life), they are soft on the inside edges and offer good arch support. love love love! Maybe buy a few more pairs of the same shoes. I hope they don't update the shoes soon.

Pros
  • Fabric & Synthetic
Cons
  • Weight

Thanks to Asics for the solution :)

Finally, after two terrible generations, the Asics Gel-Kayano is back in style and fit. I've worn the Asics Gel-Kayano for years and am really saddened by the previous two models which were narrow and lacked arch support. The 25's are roomy in the forefoot and provide arch support.

Pros
  • Dynamic DuoMax support system. This evolution of the DuoMax system increases stability and support while reducing weight and improving platform support.
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Disappointing. Inflicted Injury.

I have worn Kayano gel shoes for many years. This. I don't know what they are but they broke my legs every run out of the box and I've developed calcium deposits on the top of my foot after wearing them for maybe ten runs total. I hate these shoes. Avoid 25 if you prefer Kayano.

Pros
  • Imported
Cons
  • Minor issues

I was planning to use the Gel Kayano 25 for walking and exercising. I've had Kayanos in the past that couldn't be beat for quality and comfort. These are hard and dense. I've been wearing them for less than ten minutes and one leg is already numb. My Asics Ultra 4s, which I bought elsewhere for $65, are actually very comfortable. If there is an opportunity to return this shoe (8B) due to the large width I might try but at least for me this shoe is a big disappointment and I will be back.

Pros
  • Guidance Trusstic System Technology - This Trusstic System technology integrates Guidance Line construction to improve gait efficiency and maintain midfoot structural integrity.
Cons
  • Good but not great

Back to the shoes. I started with

I decided to travel about 2 years ago. I was unaware of running trends at the time and figured that any running shoe would do. I had a pair of Asics Kayanos in my closet (bought for the color) and walked in them. I ran a half marathon with it. Then I started reading about running trends, switched to New Balance shoes (big mistake) and ruined my foot. plantar fasciitis. I spent a few months rebuilding, spending stupid money on custom inserts and putting on a pair of Mizuno shoes (which I really…

Pros
