One of the best offers, glad I bought it.

Took for a tandem with 10400F, everything works fine. Overpaying for Z or not for locked processors is up to you, but with the H and B chipsets on the i5, you will get a maximum of 2666 memory and minus 10-15% FPS.

Pros
  • One of the most budget solutions on the Z490, a reinforced PCI Express slot, a convenient BIOS. Allows you to overclock memory with locked processors, for example with i5 10400F. Starts very quickly, 5-7 seconds to Windows. I picked up the XMP profile from 3400 MHz memory without any problems. Convenient control of all fans using curves in the BIOS. There is a so-called Base Frequency Bost, but I don’t see the point in it, because. for example 10400F under load and so it boosts up to 4100-4300, it still won’t jump higher.
Cons
  • More expensive by 4 thousand in comparison with the analogue on the B460. There is a slight rustle under load, possibly throttle. April 2022: This seems to be a stripped-down power plan, and Rocket Lake won't work, unlike more expensive Z490-based boards. I didn’t really want to, of course, but there is a sediment.

I can't stop being happy with the purchase, a very good deal!

Switched from LGA 1151 with H170 chipset. I also wanted to take an H chipset, but the difference with Z is very small. And it is worth overpaying for memory overclocking, even for processors without the K index. Yes, and in the future for an upgrade. Moreover, Rocket Lake will support these boards.

In fact, if for some reason 2933 MHz memory is not enough for you (although I don’t know the reason why this could be so) and this is your only problem, then this board will suit you. Memory on 4000 works without problems. But not all of course. And in all other respects, the board is so-so, to put it mildly. Processors on it will not work. Got pros: Relatively inexpensive. At the time of purchase, it was the cheapest mother on the Z490. Cons: The Z490 is good, of course. but the processor…

I bought it without thinking, I thought for 10k it would be something average, but it turned out to be very liquid. Initially, I did not want to start, I reset the BIOS, then it came to life, the beeper does not plow. I don't know if that's how it should be. but when you enter the bios, the beeper works, it squeaks, in short, I handed it over to the store, looked at the English-language reviews, there it is generally shown as a plug, it can’t cope with any load. It’s my own fault, where I…
