Doesn't work with Windows 10

This adapter didn't work with my laptop running Windows 10. It came with a minidisk with the executable Windows7-Windows10_2.0.2.exe which I ran and installed despite some misgivings got over my os warnings that it wasn't signed and the window that showed the developer was a long string of chinese words. After installing a small application called "XXX USB Video", an icon appeared in the taskbar. When I right clicked on this icon it had a gray 'device' and an option to show the version numberโ€ฆ

Doesn't work for me at all

Device will not install properly. It shows errors in Device Manager as four devices. I have boot disks but cannot find them when trying to update a driver for a device in Device Manager. It didn't work for me at all.

Poor quality, suitable for VGA cable

This item only duplicates the display. You cannot expand the display. The description says it's compatible with Windows 10, the box says it's not compatible with Windows 10. There is no way to contact the seller for customer support. Other USB to HDMI connections worked on this device. Also, when the screen is duplicated, you can see the difference in quality compared to another brand's USB to HDMI adapter.

Don't waste money on other things.

I did a quick Google search to find the best USB-C to HDMI adapter, but there were so many different brands and vendors that I was initially confused as to which one to choose. After much browsing, I finally decided on this adapter. Also, the price is the best. You are absolutely right. Don't waste money on other things.

Doesn't work as intended.

Does not work as described. I bought this to extend a second external monitor from my laptop but it doesn't work for that purpose. It ran in mirror mode for a minute, but when I tried to expand it for an independent image, it only showed a snippet of the screen. I've since confirmed that another product (the one associated with Displaylink) works with my laptop and monitor, so I'm guessing the converter isn't working.

Works No.: Computer Accessories and Peripherals

Update: Video streaming through this adapter is intermittent. Youtube and YouTube tv do not work at 720p or higher. Works for PlutoTV and Zoom. It's a bit finicky for plug and play, but it works and has good resolution. My biggest problem is my mouse ghost appearing on my Surface Pro 7 with the Surface Dock. Played around with the mouse settings but didn't help. Cannot find any manufacturer information on the box or Amazon to ask for support or drivers. Spend a little more and get somethingโ€ฆ

The driver installation is not fully verified.

That sucks. The device displays vertical lines on my monitor. I have Windows 10. You cannot uninstall the software. There is no USB in the list of USB drivers in Device Manager. I don't have time to break down or test someone else's junk, let alone mess with my system to figure out where the dehumidifier is running so I can reinstall it. I suspect it's a gateway to hacking into people's computers. If you're just a reseller and don't understand the complexities of the system, don't sellโ€ฆ
