This adapter didn't work with my laptop running Windows 10. It came with a minidisk with the executable Windows7-Windows10_2.0.2.exe which I ran and installed despite some misgivings got over my os warnings that it wasn't signed and the window that showed the developer was a long string of chinese words. After installing a small application called "XXX USB Video", an icon appeared in the taskbar. When I right clicked on this icon it had a gray 'device' and an option to show the version number, nothing else. Device Manager showed the msusb video device with a yellow warning triangle and said the driver was not installed. Therefore. When I tried to find the driver nothing was found. I tried installing the drivers from DisplayLink.com and they didn't work either. I connected the device to my HDMI TV and it was never able to display anything.
