Astra Platinum Double Safety Blades - Enhanced Shave & Hair Removal for Men Review

These Astra Platinum reversible blades are not of the same quality as the Astra Platinum blades I bought at a high end razor shop. I have reason to believe these cheap blades may be fakes, reproductions, etc. It's a shame when someone spends their hard-earned money on something that should have been legal, but later finds out that it isn't. I recently switched to a safety razor and initially hated it because practice blades gave me endless burns and cuts while shaving. I was ready to give up the razor but decided to try these blades and see if it helps. And so it was. Shaving is a dream and it's as close to zero as possible! They work great with my hair and sensitive skin and are much more eco-friendly than blade cartridges. Would 100% buy again.

I have previously used another brand with which I have had great success - unfortunately they were not available as I needed more blades and I ended up ordering Astras based on reviews. I've used about 25 blades to this point and have always felt that they dull after 1 use and hurt me a lot more than my previous brand. The last pack I opened makes my face look like a hamburger, I've never had so many cuts - more than 10 in one shave. The rest goes in the trash and I go back to my regular brand.

After almost 2 years of wet shaving and trying different blades I have to say that the Astra is definitely one of the best blades I've ever used, the perfect balance between smoothness and sharpness . New marked blades are just as good as old ones, contrary to belief that new ones are cheaper. I compared them in a blind test, comparing the weight of both blades on a jewelry scale and they turned out to be the same.
