Battery lasts

I bought one and liked it so much I bought another one. Both died after a few uses. Either the batteries sat on the shelf too long or they were bad. Unfortunately, you need two batteries of one type and one battery of another type. The overall construction seems really good and if the battery issue could be fixed it would be a good buy. I bought a heavy duty handheld meter because I don't want to mess with batteries. This review is related to a battery issue.

Comfortable, withstands frequent use.

Sturdy and heavy in the hand. The display is backlit and easy to read. I have to check the pressure in the big 10-ply tires every day at work, so this has a lot of uses, so far it's holding up well. Seems accurate compared to the handheld meter I use. Batteries are weirdly a combination of a regular battery and these little cells that I don't think I've seen before. However, I like it very much. No more squinting at the meter or bending down so hard to get to the tires (other than removing andโ€ฆ

Worked once - tools and equipment

The pressure gauge worked the first time when I first received it in October. I used it yesterday for the first time since first use and noticed that it now leaks air from the other end of the pneumatic attachment when the sensor is attached to the tire valve. The small steel ball in the gauge shaft, which is designed to prevent air escaping from the unused side of the gauge when the gauge is placed on the tire valve, does not seem to be seated properly or tight enough against the rubber sealโ€ฆ

One star, 3 stars for tire and rim tool

Broke within 2 months. Update: 7/26/18 The seller contacted me and offered a replacement. As a trained diesel mechanic on school buses, I cannot recommend this tool to any other professional as an indicator for everyday use. It feels like the piece that connects the metal part to the plastic handle will eventually break again with daily use. However, thanks to the backlit display, it will come in handy at night. I only hold the metal part, not the rubber/plastic grip. If you've used itโ€ฆ

cheap toy not for real use

yes used a few times and broke my neck when i checked the pressure on the inner tire. heavy trucks? Do not make me laugh. I didn't even pull that hard so I'm guessing the failure was stress related. Why put a metal collar on cheap plastic and claim superpower. As you can see, the white on the black plastic tells us that it has deformed under tension and that it is cheap toy plastic. not abs. no polypropylene. You should know that trucks drive on different roads and most of them lose their valve

Good product properties!

I liked the performance of this gauge. It has a long handle and good grip, making it easy to line up and press against the tire valve. For bike tires, a long stem would be a problem, but they include an angle sensor that does the job well. The only reason I took off a star was because the first one worked great on day 1 when I used the direct sensor and then the angle sensor. But on the second day, when I was using the direct sensor, air started leaking out of the corner sensor, causing theโ€ฆ

Awesome Gauge - Tire & Wheel Tools

Gauge is very well built and lightweight for what it is and does. That's a solid weight. It was purchased for the rear wheels of my Dodge Cummings Dually 05 but has other uses as well. The sensor works very well on both the inner tire, which uses a straight chuck, which requires the chuck to be pushed, and the outer tire, which uses an angled chuck, which requires the chuck to be pulled. Front wheels no problem. Both cartridges seal very well. The long metal rod rotates 360 degrees, which isโ€ฆ
