I recommend this product as an addition to any auto emergency kit. I had blown fuses in my front cigarette lighter, but I had this extension so I could hook up an air compressor to my rear cigarette lighter and inflate the front tires of a car and large SUV. Even with a fuse changed, this power strip has so many other uses and makes a great backup in case another fuse blows.

It's great to have to extend the cigarette lighter plug, but it would be even better if I didn't have to constantly plug it in again. For some reason it doesn't last. If I find it won't connect, I have to slide it back in. Both ends don't hold up very well and both ends accidentally come loose. We used it for our trip and we spent many hours with the kids TV/DVD connected. Maybe it would have worked better for a shorter deployment.

I used this product on my SUV. I have five kids and they all have electronics so it was very easy to hook up a car charger with multiple charging ports so each kid can charge their device individually while we're out or just driving. Its length is enough to reach from the very back to the front so no one is left behind! It's perfect and I love it. No more fighting over dying electronics lol

I routed this wire under the front seat, under the back seat cushion, and out to the back of my car. I turned on the alarm clock. I needed an extension cord to power my tire inflator that plugs into the cigarette lighter console. I plug it in. My compressor cord plugs into an extension adapter with a wall outlet, and the compressor turns on and off with the slightest movement. I mean "at least". Great company, great extension. The company I work for just upgraded us supervisors from an extra cab to a 4 door so I needed an extension for my rear lights in the cab. This thing isn't wide but it's thick, so it's very difficult to protect the wire inside. Many extensions require you to staple the two ends together. This is an amazing product. I use this power strip to power the Starlight headliner motor in my trunk and it works great with no noticeable dimming or loss of power.
