Astromania flexible dew shield are constructed of black ABS plastic and are all felt lined for maximum absorption of moisture and baffling of stray light. Particularly strong attachment to the telescope by non-slip foam rubber at the contact area to the tube. The flexible design is quite practical, as it allows you to slide the dew shield behind a cupboard or next to your eyepiece case - it is optimally space-saving!. The dew shield is lined on the inside with a black velvet-like fabric. This not only minimizes reflections but also ensures that no dew can reach the telescope's optics. Height of the dew shield: 180mm, total length: 435mm. Suitable for Telescope tubes from 100mm diameter to 123 mm diameter.A dew shield prevents your telescope optics fogging-up in the first place. Variable sizing helps with dew heaters

I preferred this over single-sized shields, so that I would have plenty of room for my dew strap.Works just fine, very pleased, quality seems good as well

Works great for blocking street lights

I have an 8 inch Newtonian and I had some street lights near by that were showing in my camera. This worked well to block the light from coming inside the tube. The outside is a hard plastic and the inside has suede type material which helps block light from reflecting.

Great dew shield. Measure the outside diameter of of the front of your scope, not the aperture.

I ordered the shield for a 123mm to 142mm diameter scope for my NexStar 127 SLT going by the aperture of 127mm. Wrong! It was too small. The outside diameter of the scope is 144mm. I ordered the 147mm to 167mm and it fits perfectly. In retrospect, if I had read the description more carefully, I would have seen that the dew shields are sized for the front Outside Diameter of the scope. This is a great dew shield. It fits well, stays in place, blocks extraneous light and prevented the formation…

Works as advertised

This dew shield works. I recently started my equipment setup around 8:30 pm PST on an unusually warm night (90°F+) in northern CA. I ended my session around 2:30 am as temperatures dropped some 25°F and the dew point was 66°F. I was starting to get considerable amounts of condensation on my gear but the Astromania dew shield kept the meniscus on my Mak-Cas dew free. I am very satisfied with it's performance!
