I love Asus products. They are reliable, attractive and last forever. I have a comment about the screw holding the MOS fan holder to the motherboard. It's sooo small and so tightly fitted that even a careful attempt to detach it caused the head to fall off, as recommended in the instructions for connecting the included fan. I plan to overclock the CPU at some point, and to do that it needs to be on the board. It would be nice if Asus took care of that somehow.

Intel® Ethernet Chip 225-V is a total disaster. I had to buy an external network card because Intel couldn't get its stuff together with the Z490 chipset and the 225V ethernet card. I highly recommend staying away from the 490 chipset until Intel finally releases a fix for it, or at least non-beta drivers for the chipset. All board manufacturers have released firmware for the 225v1.45 chip, but there is still one huge flaw. I bought a network card with a Realtek RTL8125 chipset and since then…

This board is great. Allowed me to overclock my 10900k to 5.2GHz with no issues. Although I received a DOA and Revain promptly refunded my money. Luckily my best local buy had one available. I'm not deducting a star, that's what happens with computer parts. Just a stroke of luck

The ASUS ROG Strix z490-E is one of the best motherboards I have ever owned. If you're just getting started with overclocking or think you don't need a top-of-the-line Asus z490 motherboard, this is a very good option! Great overclocking options and support for additional Aura controlled LED strips is great! Asus never fails to impress me.

To be honest I didn't find anything I didn't like about this MB, I bought it to upgrade my I9-9900k to I9-10900k and I think I have a very good choice met . I flashed the bios on first boot and everything is great. I recommend this MB.

I was able to overclock all cores to 5.0GHz on an air-cooled i7-10700k without much trouble. I was able to turn it up a bit, but lowered the temperature to a safe level. The only issue I had with the board was the additional chipset fan. I set it up for kicks but it doesn't do anything. The fan never turned up and wasn't even registered in the BIOS.
