The Intel® 225V Networking Chip is a total disaster. I had to buy an external network card because Intel couldn't get its stuff together with the Z490 chipset and the 225V ethernet card. I highly recommend staying away from the 490 chipset until Intel finally releases a fix for it, or at least non-beta drivers for the chipset. All board manufacturers have released firmware for the 225v1.45 chip, but there is still one huge bug. I bought a network card with a Realtek RTL8125 chipset and since then there have been no more problems. If you get that charge, you know you need a different NIC. Very sad.
