Useless phone! in office electronics

Nice looking phone but the ringing is so quiet you can't hear it even on HI setting! Bought this phone from Best Buy for the first time, returned it for this reason. A week later I found it a little cheaper at Staples so I decided to try again in case the first one turned out to be defective. No dice --- the same inaudible rings. Stay away from this phone!

Pros
  • hold, mute, blink; Wall mountable
Cons
  • Expandable

I think it's wonderful. I can hear it from another room

I would give five stars as it does exactly what I am asking for but it arrived with a sloped base plate installed backwards so it moves away from it inclined toward the user when used on a table top. It was bought specifically due to the fact that the earlier phone had a ringtone that would bring the dead to life and there was no way to turn it off. Someone called it too quiet; I think it's wonderful. I hear it from the other room, but the coffee cup isn't rattling.

Pros
  • Speakerphone for hands free calls
Cons
  • Doubtful

Good phone for home office

This phone works very well as my home office phone and gets a lot of use. After trying a really cheap phone and getting frustrated I spent a little more on it and was very satisfied. It has more space than I'll ever need for programmable numbers (32) (although the sequence required to write a new number isn't particularly intuitive/memorable.) - It retains the programmed numbers when the device is turned off. (He saved all my numbers for a few days during a move.) - It has an auto redial button

Pros
  • Supports 2 lines
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
