Durable repair tape?

Although it initially worked well and seemed to do tricks, it really broke down after a few months of exposure. Was hoping it would last longer but maybe the problem is the crumbling canvas material and not the tape?

Pros
  • Best in its Niche
Cons
  • No Instructions

Total fail good for awnings, screens and accessories

Wouldn't recommend. Floor! complete failure. Whether I used it incorrectly I don't know - came without any literature. Just a roll of duct tape.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Worked although I thought it wouldn't

When I received the tape I was skeptical as it looked like packing tape. I used to close a tear in a fabric car cover by taping both the inside and outside with duct tape. So far it's been outside in sub-zero temperatures and rain, and so far it's not sticky. I wish it was a little thicker. The test will be if it lasts 6 months in street conditions.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • No

He deserves zero stars.

We work full time and used this to temporarily mend our torn awning until we could replace it. What a waste of money! I could use duct tape and get the same result. The wind increased and simply ripped the tape off, tearing the awning even further. Luckily we were able to replace the awning earlier this month but I do not recommend this product. This is a waste of money that has created more problems than it has solved. Just use Duck Tape or Gorilla Tape and you're done.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Keeps going Update:

Vinyl awning with ribbed hem. Wash the area with APC and then with denatured alcohol. Allow to dry, then apply the tape. The tape is difficult to remove from the roll. Installed it in place and applied a few coats to make it thick enough to sew and hold the tear. Before I finished the repair, it started peeling off. We will see. When touched, it sticks like crazy everywhere except the canopy. Addendum: Difficult to pull off. The tape is very tacky on the back, but it just won't stick to the…

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not for everyone

So far so good the best of awnings, privacy screens and accessories

We have a fabric/fabric gazebo but in the mornings in So Cal (my garden faces east) the sun shines bright and bright It literally ruins the fabric and fades the color. One side of the roof fabric is torn away from the strut leaving a gaping hole for moisture/sun. When I tried to stretch the fabric it was so brittle it broke even more making it difficult to repair. Luckily, there's 30 feet of duct tape that really saved the day. I was able to bend the tape on both the top and bottom of the…

Pros
  • the good
Cons
  • almost everything is fine
