I ordered these Tewa-style sandals over a year ago to replace my previous beach shoes. I kept waiting for the hard plastic material covering the forefoot to soften or for my feet to get harder, but it still rubs the inside edges of both of my feet. I'm putting on a slightly bleeding abrasion that I sustained while walking on the beach yesterday. And then I'll get myself a pair of sandals. Ouch!

These sandals have performed very well in all types of water to date (have been in them for about a month or two) and dry quickly. Although it feels a little snug, it's still comfortable and doesn't chafe. Right now it's high on my list of water sandals I've had. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I'm not sure how long it will last due to the design (the kind of slot design language that has always let me down in the past) on a daily basis will withstand abuse.
