Easy to use, sponge cover directly onto the water inlet of your filter. Traps particles and debris, enhances biological filtration, prevents small and baby inhabitants from being drawn into filter. Great Addition to My Aquarium System

I was hesitant to purchase this product as I already have a filter system in place but I'm so glad I did.As a result of using this product, I found that the water in my aquarium is much clearer and my fish are thriving. The added protection for my fish is a great pro to this product. The only con I would say is that it was a bit confusing to install initially. Ideal for reducing filter outlet turbulence in my rearing and hatchery tanks

I breed Apistos and they are adamant not to breed when the water flow is too strong. I used to have a few pieces of styrofoam that were tampered with by the judges, but they are inconsistent and always need adjustment and replacement. Enter these sponges! They are very coarse and although designed as inlet pre-filters I find that they are excellent outlet filter suppressors for stilling water flow to near zero.
