Good product, comes in black, no magnet.

Good product but the magnet was too weak so I didn't use it. Didn't want to risk getting sucked into the aisles. Comes in black, just what I wanted.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • For old

Quality Part

could have been chosen When I encountered a leaking rear axle on a 2003 Tahoe, I decided to replace the rusty cover with this aftermarket part, partly because of the good reviews. This is an exact replacement for the original part and installs with no problems. After a few months there is no leak, there is no rust on the lid. Very satisfied.

Pros
  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Newer model

Don't buy this stupid thing

I read a few reviews that said the magnet was loose or loose but I shrugged it off and bought it anyway. Well that was a mistake. Like they just tossed a crappy magnet in your pocket lol. Seems safe. Came back and got a $20 OEM kit with a gasket, screws and magnet where it belongs - the filler plug.

Pros
  • I finally got it
Cons
  • Not the best

2005 Suburban 1500 Best in Powertrain and Transmission

Bad; The magnet is not attached to the lid, and there is no cut-out (like the original lid) to hold the magnet in place. I peeled off the paint in the area and used a dab of RTV glue (allows you to cure overnight) to hopefully hold it in place. Fine; Good durable coverage with a thick layer of black paint. Nice heavy pad. Purchase mounting screws separately (must use a dremel to "flatten" existing screws to fit socket) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GUENX58/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons

It seems that the wrong photo is corrected

Painted black. Looks good. Be careful not to buy class 5 screws, they break. I have screws from eBay. Amazing quality. The magnet is only stronger on one side. SCREWS: M8-1.25 x 20 or M8x20 8mm x 20mm hex head bolt with JIS flange and small head 10.9 t River City gear. EDIT:. Check the owner's manual for the correct fluid level. My 2002 1500 2wd says 5/8" to 1-5/8" UNDER THE FILLER CAP. I went down 1/2 inch. And the filling on this cap corresponds to the differential filler plug. Oh, a lot of…

Quality Differential Cover

I bought this kit to replace a rusted and leaking cover on a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban K1500. The quality of the cover is excellent, it is covered with a thick black coating to prevent rust. I measured .104 inch cap thickness, which is about 12 gauge steel. The original GM cap is only .084 inches thick, or about 14 gauge. The supplied fiber gasket was oversized and sealed the lid tight and tight without the need for additional silicone sealant. I don't understand why the lid is zinc in the…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Weak kit
