Point Down Arrow

Just sitting in a parking lot can cause leaves, dust and debris to collect in the 'new' Toyota Avalon's cabin air filter ('AC Filter') It's relatively easy to replace this ATP filter with an OEM filter The only embarrassment is Toyota's continued inability to label it: The plastic filter cap has an arrow pointing UP and is labeled "UP" Loud According to the Toyota owner's manual the filter should be fitted with the arrow pointing up. Exactly the same model (looks like a cross between a Lexus and a Toyota as all three of my cars use the same filter: 2007 Camry, 2012 Highlander and 2014 IS). This one was about 1/3 cheaper and much better quality than the one I…

Top Shelf Part!: Replacement Parts

We had a serious problem with the air conditioning smell in a used car we bought (Toyota Corolla 2009) and after extensive research on the internet to solve the problem, PART of the solution and there were several Required steps too long to go into detail (YouTube "remove mold smell from air conditioner" has lots of information to point you in the right direction), including replacing the cabin filter. In conclusion, we decided to stop at the carbon filter. Yes, it was significantly more…
